Passaic River at Fern River Island in Wayne, NJ

July 2001

Birding with Peter and Jeanne Barnett (and the psalmists)
Peter rows the boat and finds the wildlife...Jeanne tries to take the shots with the digital camera
hoping her eyes can focus with the camera and her hands don't shake too much.
King David wrote the psalms and God provided the clipart!.

The bounderies have fallen for us in pleasant places, yes we have a good inheritance....psalm 16

Fern Island at dusk looking east July 15, 2001. Green heron....there were three apparently nesting on Fern Island. The sticks look like tinker toys!

Finally, I got the turtles before they saw me and jumped off the log!

The blue herons taken on different days.

How precious is your loving kindness O Lord,

We put our trust under the shadow of your wings. psalm 36

Tonight (July 15th) there were at least two other boats enjoying the river at Fern Island

There are at least three killdeer maybe a mom and dad and their babies on Fern Island. I love the stripes on the chest.
